and peak oil. Cities throughout Europe
are already reaping the economic and
ecological benefits of locally-produced
wind, solar, geothermal and biomass
energy. American cities should do the
same, and Cleveland should be at the
forefront of this shift to a smarter, more
secure way of powering our economy."

I think a wind farm in Lake Erie is a terrific idea. It will benefit
the environment and economy many ways. The obvious way is
the renewable electricity, but what most folks don't realize is that
the foundations of these types of structures make great habitat
for creatures that support sport fishing. While fishing on Lake Erie
last summer, our guide took us to a coast guard platform at
the edge of the shipping lanes. The bass were everywhere!
I'd love to see the wind farm.
